Getting over the feeding jitters
Well, as all of the family knows, Kyle and I have been pretty by-the-book when it comes to feeding Jack. The pediatrician's food list, along with the wonderful Internet has ensured that we don't try anything debatable as it will surely land the kid in anaphylactic shock in the hospital.
Well, we are getting over that. I am updating his "Foods" list (and will repost shortly). He has tried A LOT of things now, including having scrambled egg yolks (which I painstakingly separated while rinsing the yolk and shell of egg white in the sink) for breakfast this morning. Last night we went to Los Toltecos with Clay and Heather and Jack had some refried beans and flan. That's right, flan. And since it's a custard it only has yolks so it's ok by me. For breakfast, it was hashbrown casserole (potatoes, cheese, onions) and biscuits. For lunch, some chicken from my Quiznos sub (yes, we ate out for all three meals yesterday). He's really enjoying all of the new foods, though he still is completely reluctant to feed himself. Frankly, this way seems better (and less messy) anyhow.
